The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas

My grandparents gave me an illustrated version of this book when I was about seven years-old. I used to imagine that my step-brother was the evil Dantes and I was the phoenix-esque Mondego, coming to claim what was rightfully mine.

Good book, but I’m too much of an American redneck to score it five stars.
